13ert is a small, friendly and appealing little droid who needs help! He needs to be programmed to explore his way through the caverns and levels of the abandoned mine, to see if we can discover what has been going on down there. The story is very engaging, as are the pictures, sounds and movies that are liberally sprinkled throughout.
Children will begin to take their first steps in Control, and in programming using 13ert. 13ert can be used as the basis of cross curricular work with ease. Children will also develop strategic thinking and problem solving skills as the attempt to help 13ert to find the way out of each level.
In 13ert, pupils can also design and save their own level designs. If required, these can be sent to 13ert.com and shared with everyone – no need to have the full software at home as a free player module can be downloaded!
As usual, full teacher documentation, help sheets, printables (including a certificate) are all included on the CD.
